John Messinger received a Bachelor of Art degree in Photojournalism from Boston University’s College of Communications and a Master of Fine Arts in Photography from the School of Visual Arts. His recent work involves photographing different images on a large computer screen with Fuji instant film, and stitching the photographs together to create expansive three-dimensional grids. Photographing everything from Facebook images to screensavers, his work speaks to the ever-evolving relationship between humans and technology. His work has been exhibited in galleries throughout the U.S., including Eric Firestone Gallery in East Hampton, NY; The Water Mill Center in Water Mill, NY; UNIX Gallery in New York; and the Ogden Museum in New Orleans. He has been exhibiting with Tripoli Gallery since 2009.
