Yung Jake (Established on the Internet in 2011), received his BFA from the California Institute of the Arts (Cal Arts) in 2012. He has had 13 solo exhibitions in Los Angeles and New York, and 26 group exhibitions in the U.S., China, Finland, Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands, respectively. Yung Jake is also a musician and directed music videos for Rae Sremmurd and Pusha T. His work has been featured at venues including Sundance (2013), where his videos Datamosh(2011), and E.m-bed.de/d(2012) were screened, as well as performances in Los Angeles at the Hammer Museum (2013), REDCAT (2013), MOCA (2014), The Getty Center (2015), and in New York at the Museum of Modern Art (2016). In 2017, his solo booth with Steve Turner at Zona Maco Sur, Mexico City sold out. Also in 2017, Yung Jake was included in ARS17 at the Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma, Helsinki, Finland, and in 2018 he exhibited in China at OCAT Shanghai with KADIST San Francisco.
His artwork has been sold in numerous art fairs including MiArt, Milan (2015), UNTITLED, Miami Beach (2016; 2017), Art Brussels, Belgium (2016), the Seattle Art Fair (2016), the Dallas Art Fair (2016), and Market Art + Design (2018). In 2017, his solo booth with Steve Turner at Zona Maco Sur, Mexico City sold out. Also in 2017, Yung Jake was included in ARS17 at the Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma, Helsinki, Finland, and in 2018 he exhibited in China at OCAT Shanghai with KADIST San Francisco. His first solo museum exhibition titled Cartoons was on view at Guild Hall, East Hampton, NY, in 2019, which led to a bidding war between Apple TV and Cartoon Network. And two additional solo exhibitions with Tripoli Gallery in New York, Twisted Metal, and Emoji Portraits, were featured in the New York Times. Yung Jake lives and works in California.
